Rising Builders Blueprint Program

Developing Skills. Building Confidence. Creating Your Future.

The Rising Builders Blueprint Program is a comprehensive workforce development program designed to prepare aspiring builders for successful careers in the construction industry. Through a combination of classroom instruction, hands-on training, and real-world application, students develop the technical knowledge, safety awareness, and professional skills that today's employers value most.

As a program approved by the Texas Workforce Commission's Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Rising Builders is committed to providing high-quality workforce training that aligns with industry needs and creates pathways to sustainable employment. Eligible participants may also qualify for WIOA-funded training and career services through their local Workforce Solutions office.

Whether you're entering the workforce for the first time, changing careers, or building a stronger future for yourself and your family, our program provides the foundation for long-term success. Students receive hands-on instruction, earn industry-recognized OSHA safety credentials, develop practical construction skills, and receive assistance in obtaining their business license—creating opportunities for employment with established contractors or future business ownership.

By combining technical training, workforce readiness, and professional mentorship, the Rising Builders Blueprint Program equips graduates with the confidence, credentials, and experience needed to thrive in the skilled trades and contribute to the growing construction workforce across Texas.

Module 1: OSHA Safety Certification

Safety is the foundation of every successful construction career. Students receive OSHA safety training that prepares them to recognize workplace hazards, follow industry safety standards, and contribute to a safe and productive jobsite. This nationally recognized certification demonstrates a commitment to professionalism and workplace excellence.

Module 2: Drywall Installation & Finishing

Develop the skills needed to install, tape, mud, sand, texture, and finish drywall with precision and confidence. Students gain extensive hands-on experience using professional tools and techniques while learning the craftsmanship required to produce high-quality residential and commercial finishes.

Module 3: Professional Painting Techniques

Master the essential techniques used by professional painters, including surface preparation, patching, priming, cutting in, rolling, spraying, and finishing. Students learn how to deliver clean, durable, and visually appealing results while understanding industry best practices for both residential and commercial projects.

Beyond Technical Training

The Rising Builders Blueprint Program goes beyond teaching construction skills. Students develop professionalism, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and jobsite etiquette—qualities that help them stand out in today's competitive workforce. Graduates also receive guidance in obtaining their business license, providing a pathway to future entrepreneurship for those who choose to start their own construction business.
